Through your pledge, you become part of a global network of supporters committed to helping others tackle the causes of global poverty and disadvantage.
Commitment to being a volunteer is not an easy task. The volunteers who serve in development programmes need to be mentally, physically and emotionally prepared for their work. Volunteers make a huge sacrifice to live away from their families, communities and support groups for as long as two years.Our member agencies work in over 40 of the world’s poorest countries helping the men, women and children living in poverty help themselves.
VSO volunteers and the communities they work in can benefit from your financial support. Your donation will help us recruit skilled, committed volunteers who have the training and support that will enable them to achieve meaningful change in communities in Kenya and in other developing countries.And because our volunteers work as part of nationally and locally managed programmes, this means that the benefits continue to be realised long after the volunteers return home.
