Natural resources management and HIV and AIDS professionals

We are currently looking for professionals in the area of natural resources management and HIV and AIDS.

Do you have the following skills and experience?

Natural resources management

  • Agriculture specialists with skills in agricultural extension, crop cultivation, small-scale farm management, developing cropping systems, irrigation, agribusiness development, agri and micro-finance development.

  • Animal husbandry related skills and knowledge in animal production, farm management, breeding and raising livestock, dairy production, processing and distribution, dairy science, stockbreeding, food chains and food regulations.

  • Forestry, water and fisheries professionals with skills in natural resource management, enterprise development, fisheries management, water/coastal management, forestry management and planning.

  • Horticultural specialists with practical skills and experience in horticultural crop production, plant breeding, plant genetics and physiology and water management.

HIV professionals

  • HIV and AIDS programme managers with skills in HIV mainstreaming, HIV and AIDS project management, behaviour change communication, networking, monitoring and evaluation of projects and programmes, HIV and AIDS policy, HIV and AIDS care and service management.

  • Specialists in ART management with experience in administering antiretroviral therapy (ART), assessing patients in need of palliative or symptomatic care, supervising ART ancillary staff, refilling antiretoviral medications for stable and adherent patients, providing ongoing adherence assessment counselling and serving as an HIV/ART point person for hospital or NGO staff.

  • Voluntary counselling and testing managers with experience in HIV and AIDS, managing voluntary counselling and testing programmes, care and treatment for HIV infected persons.

 You will need:

  • A relevant University degree and more than three years work experience in the areas listed above.

  • Be willing to work overseas for 1-2 years and ready to depart within the next 3-4 months.

  • Be serious about using your skills to have a lasting impact on the development of some of the most disadvantaged communities in the world.

  • Knowledge working with vulnerable groups will be an added advantage.
